At Milestone Partners, our practice with respect to energy and natural resources cuts across power and mining as well as oil and gas. We advise on complex business transactions and ensuring regulatory compliance. We recently advised some investors on the regulatory issues with respect to the operation of Independent Hydroelectric Power Project in Nigeria. We offer advice on a wide range of energy issues bordering on electric power supply, mining license and operation, engineering procurement and construction, financing of oil, gas and power projects and provision of advice on the divestment of interests in both hydrocarbons acreages and electric power assets. We equally advise on related environmental issues, rights of way and negotiation with traditional land owners. We had equally rendered complex advice on the Local Content Act and enforcement of rights thereunder.
