FREDERICK ADEFARATI
Frederick Adefarati is a Partner in MILESTONE PARTNERS. He obtained his Bachelor Degree (LL. B) from the University of Benin, Benin City in 2007. He attended the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2008. Frederick obtained a Masters degree in Oil and Gas Law from Swansea University, United Kingdom in 2015. He is qualified to practice as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Before joining Milestone Partners, Frederick worked with some top notch law firms in Lagos, Nigeria and has garnered considerable experience in corporate and commercial practice, real estate and succession planning, energy and natural resources, food and agriculture, and debt recovery. Frederick has been involved in a number of complex high profile litigation, mediation, business advisory, corporate and commercial transactions and ad-hoc arbitration matters. He is very familiar with the practice and procedure of the Superior Courts of Record in Nigeria.
He provides legal and statutory advisory services to companies and individuals relating to the sale and acquisition of real estate, perfection of titles, due diligence, securitization, perfection of mortgages, and real estate financing.
After developing keen interests in Energy and Natural Resources, Frederick subsequently obtained masters in Oil and Gas Law. His expertise in this area covers power, oil and gas, mining, and lately food and agriculture. Frederick has advised local and international clients on project structuring and project financing, granting of mining permits, oil and gas exploration rights, pollution and environmental related matters, health and safety in mining and other environments.
In the area of Food and Agriculture, Frederick brings his expertise to bear on the use of technology in farming business. He advises clients on draft contracts, environmental issues arising from farming, insurance and sundry regulatory issues, draft policies, data transfer agreements, co-operatives, seed and feed companies, industry trade organizations and food processors. He is a go-to Solicitor on arranging, negotiating and securing local, international and syndicate facilities for large scale farmers.
